Red Pill or Blue Pill: Is ignorance bliss?  



Most people do not want freedom?

In the article " Red Pill or Blue Pill: Is ignorance bliss?" by Christine Cornell and Patrick Malcolmson argues that freedom probably isn't a option that people may not follow by their fears or feelings , but we are capable to decide by ourselves our freedom, even though in the movie" Matrix " Neo who was the protagonist lived in virtual world with knowing it. Nevertheless he meet  Morpheus in which this personage offered him the opportunity to live the real life, being freedom, only he wants to stay in the wonderland. Although he chose the red pill to understand, he didn't know that his life was control by machines. he accepted to be against of this machines and help the rest of people to be freedom.

I agree with Cornell and Malcolmson that people might not follow the freedom as a option because at this period of time some people live a kind of life created for somebody that wants to help, but it could  affect our own personalities, making us unable to confront any kind problems. For  instance our parents lead us in the way to get a success, but sometimes they protect us too much, avoiding all the bad situation can disturb our goals, dreams or ambitions. just to make us perfect people, as result some of them live a life asking as adults their are, they will survive without parent because they were the principle base to realize their life.
 
In the movie everybody live in Matrix without knowing their are slave of the software created for the machines. Meanwhile they can escape of it if they take the red pill, but some of them may not accept it because the reality sometimes is not the best option, if they realize they live a life that isn't truth, including memories, actions, or  people they meet once was fake.

If i compare with my life when I came to this country my life changed totally, everything that i meet still there, but actually I 'm living another life  with more opportunities to survive in this world. Besides, the human being can adapt to live any kind of live, even most of the people take to much time to accept that situation. Furthermore, at this time some immigrant prefer stay in our own country confronting their realities keeping away their fears as to live in other countries without family or leaving everything to have a welfare, but it might not happen by causes the destiny or good luck.

To conclude, the movie show us that we are the only one to decide for ourselves and nobody can not control our destiny, we should do wherever we want to do with our lives, we deserve to build the future that we could choose.
